Grand Apparat

The Grand Apparat collection is among the most prestigious from Maison Haviland. This exceptional decoration, dating from the second half of the 19th century, is the epitome of luxury. Fleur-de-lis and cartouches in cobalt blue stand out like precious marquetry against a richly ornamented all-gold decoration created using the ancient technique of inlay. This exceptional craftsmanship allows the porcelain to be finely chiselled, giving the gold its distinct and incomparable relief. The brilliant gold is achieved through two successive gildings and agate burnishing. The center features an abundant “millefleurs” decoration giving a final touch of delicacy to the ensemble.
