Thistle

Created during the second half of the 19th century, the Thistle collection is one of the signature inlays of the Maison Haviland. An elegant platinum rocaille-style frieze surrounded by two gold-beaded ribbons creates perfect balance. This exceptional craftsmanship allows the porcelain to be finely chiselled, giving the gold its distinct and incomparable relief. The brilliant gold is achieved through two successive gildings and agate burnishing. The ensemble is completed with the central feature showcasing an abundant “millefleurs” decoration for the final touch of delicacy.
